I find myself lying besides waves, and the rains are hitting my face. I shiver and wake up to find where I am. - what follows, follows.
All wet after being washed ashore, I walk
besides intense waves and haze. I
try to remember, how I got here.
Did I swim? No, the ocean would gulp me.
Was I kidnapped? No, any ransom was high.
I stand, catching breaths and memories
To know, to understand, and recollect
the reality which I’m standing in.
The time is different - of high rises, air
Like another universe. I dreamt, of those dark
Shades of polaroid, which I wanted to frame
With filters, adulterated without emotions.
The sand grains crawl beneath my feet.
I grasp some in my palms, sliding away
Like time in itself, unknown - but
clueless about existence or reality.
I want to go back, to where I belong. This
isn’t where I can nurture, the life in me.
Give me a better sunrise, to wake up to.
I can live without the waters - not
without the sun.
